Kampot Provincial Administration Announces Curfew & Booze Ban

The Kampot Provincial Administration has announced a one-week curfew and ban on alcohol sales, effective today.

The curfew is between 8 pm and 5 am and all gatherings are banned. The only gatherings allowed over the next week are funerals, health workers' meetings, public officials, and other specific situations.

The booze ban covers the sale of all alcoholic beverages across the province.

The decision comes after 57 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Kampot last week.

The administration has traced the infections back to a casino and several farms in the Dang Tong district.
